After Care Instructions
Be sure that your hands are clean before touching the treated area!
Here are some quick reference Do's and Don’ts for after your procedure that are important to follow for at least 14 days. Following these guidelines will maximize the best results of your new brows or lips. Not following proper aftercare could cause damage to your skin and negatively affect the final healed outcome.
-
Don't swim, jacuzzi, hot bath or sauna
-
Don't increase sweating, sun tan, or salon tan
-
Don’t participate in chemical treatments or peels, or use any creams containing RetinA or glycolic acid
-
Don't touch eyebrow area except when rinsing or applying post-care ointment
-
Don't pick, peel, or scratch micro pigmented area
-
Avoid tasks that involve airborne debris (cleaning garage, riding bike, or boating)
-
Do keep the treated area clean at all times during your healing process
-
Do apply ointment twice a day with cotton swab
Your new permanent makeup will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very strong and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely. Brows and lips will appear very bold for the first 72 hrs. The color of the pigment will soften gradually and fade up to 40% by the end of your healing. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluids that are naturally exiting your skin. Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will often look like like flakes of dry skin. This might give you the impression that the pigment is fading too quickly. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your face. DO NOT PICK OR PEEL OFF FLAKING SKIN! Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure could cause the pigment to fade away more quickly.
If any swelling or discomfort occur during your healing process, please contact iBrowLush or your medical provider ASAP PRONTO.
